Let’s explore the progression of Word Study instruction within Bookworms, spanning from letter/sound recognition in Kindergarten to advanced word study in upper elementary grades! In this session, we will better understand the sequence and the research that supports Word Study instruction. Explore the reasoning behind instructional practices such as super sentences for grammar and vocabulary development. Additionally, syllabication strategies specifically designed for Grades 3-5 will be examined in this session.
